Working committee meeting of our Federation was held at KOLKATTA on 17th and 18th January,2016. The venue of the meeting was named after late COM.EDWIN PERIERARA, former general Secretary of our Goa, who passed away consequent to a road accident. COM.K.Vijhayan, President of our Federation chaired the meeting. Meeting commenced at 11AM on 17th, with welcome address by COM.Sanat Gosh, General Secretary of West Bengal unit which hosted the meeting. 

A meeting of the Office Bearers of AIBEA was held today in Chennai to take stock of the various developments taking place in the banking sector as well as to take further decisions on our current struggle against unilateral actions of Associate Banks of SBI in changing the service conditions of the employees in violation of the existing bipartite settlement. During the course of the meeting, AIBEA Office Bearers took note of the communication dated 12-1-2016 sent by the Finance Ministry to the IBA and all the Banks to initiate the process of negotiations for the next wage revision settlement and to conclude it prior to the effective date i.e. 1-11-2017.

Comrades will be  happy to  note that bank is going to increase  medical insurance cover  for retirees. We enclosing herewith the form for medical   insurance . All the comrades advised to fill this form and send to Personnel Service Dept. UCO Bank ,Head Office-II, Salt Lake Kolkata So that all the comrades are  covered under medical insurance. Demands relating to retirees of the Bank’s held on 25th May,2015 Mumbai. Our Bank has also issued Cir No.CHO/PMG/32/2015-16 dated 08/10/2015.

From 1st Oct 2015 the new medical exp reimbursement scheme /policy has commenced for all serving employees /officers. Individual cards will be provided in the name of all employees /eligible dependents. Our Bank has  issued Circular CHO/PMG/28/2015-16 dated 30/09/2015
For retirees ,the scheme will be launched soon and thereafter  they can join the scheme by paying  the premium

 It is a matter of pride that  our All India Federation signed a historical agreement regarding elevation of 1/3 rd ,1/2 ,3/4th Part Time Sweepers /Full Time Sweepers as full time Housekeeper-cum-peon.Bank has  issued Circular CHO/PAS/08/2015-16 dated 01/09/2015 .

2nd and 4th Saturday will be public holiday for entire banking industry w.e.f. 1st September, 2015.

At the initiatives and efforts of ALL INDIA UCO BANK EMPLOYEES' FEDERATION, all India convention of UCO Bank Young Employees was held at Chennai on 15th and 16th August, 2015 .

Young comrades reached chennai for participation in All India UCO Bank Employees Convention held by AIUBEF on 15th and 16th Aug 2015.

All India Youth Convention will be held at Chennai on 15th & 16th August 2015. The young comrades all our from India will attend the convention. Chairman of our banks and ED will also address the convention

Your Majority Union All Inida UCO Bank Employees Federation (AIUCBEF) has achieved one more target i.e. elevation of PTS for Full Time, designating them as Sweeper cum House Keeper.
Yesterday this agreement was signed between All India UCO Bank Employees Federation (AIUCBEF) and HRD Head Office.

References are being made to us regarding Gratuity under the 10th BP Settlement signed recently on 25-5-2015. Gratuity in the Banks is payable to employees and officers both under the Gratuity Act, 1972 as well as under the provisions of our Bipartite Settlement for employees and as per OSR for officers whichever is higher. (other than in SBI where Gratuity is paid only under the Act with a ceiling of Rs. 10 lacs).

In the long 70 years of journey of AIBEA, improving the economic conditions of the bank employees has been a major task. Those were the days when bank employees were treated like virtual slaves with hardly any mentionable service conditions and not to talk of job security, dignity of job, etc.

1. Ongoing negotiations on wage revision and other improvement in service conditions:
Units are aware that the Minutes of Discussions signed by us with the IBA on 23-2-2015 covering 15% increase towards cost of payslip components and amounting to Rs. 4725 crores coupled with full holidays on 2nd given circumstances and as compared to previous wage revision....

Units and members are aware that our charter of demands includes demands on improvement in various service conditions apart from increase in wages. Prior to the signing of the Minutes of Discussion on 23-2-2015, there were two rounds of discussions with the IBA on these issues.
