IBPS has released the results of the clerical recruitment process for the year 2023-24. As per the Indents placed by the Banks, IBPS has allotted 6615 candidates to the various Banks as under:

 Central Committee Meeting of Punjab Bank Employees’ Federation was held on 29th March 2023 at Ludhiana. The meeting was presided by Com P.R Mehta, President. Com S.K Gautam, General Secretary explained the agenda of the meeting and reported the details of preparations already made for the 13th Conference.

16th March is the foundation day of All India UCO Bank Employees federation AIUCBEF.  Our beloved organisation completed the glorious journey of 60 years and we are celebrating the Golden Jubilee at kolkata on 7th and 8th April 2023.Our apex body President and General Secretary issued a letter on this historic occasion.We are sharing the same contents with you.

 In continuation with circular number 05/2023 dated 2nd February 2023, 07/2023 dated 16th February 2023 and 09/23 dated 4th March 2023 It is very much in your notice that we are holding our 12th conference on 12th March 2023 at Desh Bhagat Yadgar HALL Jalandhar.

 

UFBU Circular : Another round of bilateral discussions took place between our Unions and IBA on 28-02-2023 in Mumbai. During this meeting, the following issues were discussed:

 Through our various circulars we have been apprising our comrades regarding developments in the preparation for our Conference to be held on 12th March 2023. Time left for holding the conference is very short. We are pleased to inform you that preparations for the conference are going on at a satisfactory pace, with the cooperation of all comrades of Jalandhar. Though we have received funds from most of the units , there are still some units which are yet to send collections . We, therefore, advise all staff members who have not remitted any amount towards conference funds, must send the same to Central Office latest by 10th of March 2023.

 

 

 In the continuation of our circular 05/2023 dt 01.02.2023 all the comrades are well aware that

 We reproduce herein the text of the letter addressed by UFBU to IBA explaining the demand of UFBU on updation of pension. “ This has reference to the bilateral discussions we had with IBA yesterday on the various residual issues, as a sequel to the decisions taken during the conciliation meeting before Dy. CLC, Mumbai on 27-01-2023. On the issue of our demand for updation of pension for the past retirees, IBA wanted to know our concrete demand and we agreed to submit a letter in this regard. As explained in the meeting, we demand that all the existing pensioners from 01-01-1986 and upto those who retired on or before 31-10-2017 should be covered by updation of pension and the present pension paid to all these retirees on and from 01-01-1986 to 31-10-2017 be brought/updated to the level of the pay scales as applicable under the 11th Bipartite Settlement / 8 th Joint Note signed on 11-11-2020. As discussed in the meeting, please also provide us the details of number of pensioners and family pensioners under each wage revision settlement period.”

• Our demand for adequate recruitments in Banks

 All of us are aware that in the recent years, there is a deliberate slowdown in recruitment of clerical staff and virtual non-recruitment of substaff including part-time employees / housekeeping staff in most of the Banks. The reasons are also obvious to all of us. One of their agenda is to officerise the banking industry. Another idea is to reduce the number of workmen, who are covered under the ID Act. The third idea is to reduce the militant fighting force. It is also due to their desire and preference for employees on contractual basis with lesser wages and to avoid long term liabilities like retirement benefits. 

 Central Committee Meeting of Punjab Bank Employees’ Federation was held on Sunday, 8th January 2023 at Ludhiana. The meeting was presided over by Com P.R Mehta, President, PBEF. Prior to the discussions on regular Agenda PBEF office bearers elected in their recently concluded Conferences of PNBSU, CBIEU and BOIEU were felicitated with garlands. Com S.K Gautam, General Secretary, explained the agenda of the meeting in detail and reported the latest developments in the banking industry which were further elaborated by Com P.R Mehta, President. Thereafter discussions were initiated and after threadbare deliberations decisions were taken as per detail as under;

• UFBU decides to revive our agitation demanding resolution of our issues 
  
• March on to All India Strike on 30th and 31st January, 2023

Demands:
 Introduction of 5 banking days a week.
 Updation of Pension for past retirees.
 Resolution of residual issues.
 Adequate recruitment in all cadres to ensure better customer service.
 Scrap New Pension Scheme and restore Old Pension Scheme.
 Immediate commencement of negotiations on Charter of Demands for wage revision
