UFBU CIRCULAR NO. 6 Dt. 25-4-2025: Further to the conciliation meeting held by the CLC on 21-3-2025 when it was decided to postpone the strike, the IBA called for one round of discussions with UFBU on 23-4-2025 at IBA office in Mumbai.
IBA was represented by the Chairman of the Negotiating Committee Shri Rajneesh Karnatak (MD/CEO of Bank of India), Shri Atul Kumar Goel, Chief Executive, IBA and other Executives and officials.

Dear Comrades, The working committee meeting of ALL INDIA UCO BANK EMPLOYEES FEDERATION was held as scheduled at Ranchi , Jharkhand on 12th & 13th April, 2025 after a period of 8 months from the last one. The two-day session witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 74 office bearers and working committee members from all corners of the country. Additionally, there were around 15-20 leaders, volunteers and activists of Jharkhand unit who also apart from attending their duties were apt listeners of the deliberations on the proceedings.

UFBU CIRCULAR NO. 5 : In the midst of our agitational programme, as informed in our earlier message on 18-3-2025, there was conciliation meeting on that day between IBA/bank managements and UFBU as arranged by the Chief Labour Commissioner. Since no understanding could be reached on our demands, the conciliation meeting was adjourned to 21st, and accordingly day before yesterday (on 21-3- 2025) one more round of conciliation meeting took place in CLC office, New Delhi.
Chief Labopur Commissioner (Central), Shri K. Shekar himself conducted the conciliation proceedings along with Dy. CLC, RLC (HQ) and ALC (IR). Representatives of DFS from the Ministry of Finance, IBA and all Bank managements were present. All our constituent Unions were present.

United forum of bank unions served a strike notice in Form-L dated 05.03.2025 to the Chairman, Indian Bank Association and the Chief Labour Commissioner(C) mentioning therein to go on strike on 24th-25th March 2025 apart from other agitational programmes. The moment the notice is received to the Chief Labour Commissioner(C), it is seized into conciliation considering public utility service and a notice was issued to all the stake holders asking them to attend the meeting on 18.03.2025 at 11:30 AM.

The Central Committee meeting of UCO BANK Employees Union -NZ was held today 16.03.2025 at Jalandhar . After paying tributes to Comrade R K Walia ji , Chairman UCBEU- NZ who was expired on 12.03.2025 mainly discussed in detail about the 3rd Youth and Women Conference to be held on 26th and 27th April and it was decided that all North Zone comrades will put their full effort to make this convention a grand success. All comrades took a pledge to make this convention a success with full enthusiasm . Com. Anil Sotra, who recently joined AIBEA from BEFI with all his members was felicitated by Com Raj Kumar Bhagat and Com H S Veer . With unanimous decision the central committee appointed him a Joint General Secretary of UCBEU- NZ to oversee the overall affairs of Jammu and Kashmir.

With heavy heart and a grief- stricken mind we inform that Com. R. K. Walia, leader of our Federation, leader of bank employees of Northern Zone has breathed his last on 12th March, 2025 in his son's residence at Bengaluru.
As the news of his sudden and sad demise poured in, our members across the country and particularly in Punjab and Northern zone got severely shocked and all stood as one in mourning his untimely death.

Today is really a momentous day for all of us in Federation. History has been created by our valiant soldiers of Punjab unit. During their visit of Jammu yesterday they were able to convince Com. Anil Sotra who had been the leader of BEFI union so long to join the mainstream of Bank employees movement, AIBEA. Along with Com. Anil, thirteen (13) comrades from different branches of Jammu have joined our organization. We warmly welcome all of our dear brothers and sisters of Jammu & Kashmir in the majority workman union of UCO BANK. We profusely thank Com Anil Sotra for taking this wise decision to join the majority and mainstream trade union of the banking industry and our bank too.
