Young comrades reached chennai for participation in All India UCO Bank Employees Convention held by AIUBEF on 15th and 16th Aug 2015.

All India Youth Convention will be held at Chennai on 15th & 16th August 2015. The young comrades all our from India will attend the convention. Chairman of our banks and ED will also address the convention

Your Majority Union All Inida UCO Bank Employees Federation (AIUCBEF) has achieved one more target i.e. elevation of PTS for Full Time, designating them as Sweeper cum House Keeper.
Yesterday this agreement was signed between All India UCO Bank Employees Federation (AIUCBEF) and HRD Head Office.

References are being made to us regarding Gratuity under the 10th BP Settlement signed recently on 25-5-2015. Gratuity in the Banks is payable to employees and officers both under the Gratuity Act, 1972 as well as under the provisions of our Bipartite Settlement for employees and as per OSR for officers whichever is higher. (other than in SBI where Gratuity is paid only under the Act with a ceiling of Rs. 10 lacs).

In the long 70 years of journey of AIBEA, improving the economic conditions of the bank employees has been a major task. Those were the days when bank employees were treated like virtual slaves with hardly any mentionable service conditions and not to talk of job security, dignity of job, etc.

1. Ongoing negotiations on wage revision and other improvement in service conditions:
Units are aware that the Minutes of Discussions signed by us with the IBA on 23-2-2015 covering 15% increase towards cost of payslip components and amounting to Rs. 4725 crores coupled with full holidays on 2nd given circumstances and as compared to previous wage revision....

Units and members are aware that our charter of demands includes demands on improvement in various service conditions apart from increase in wages. Prior to the signing of the Minutes of Discussion on 23-2-2015, there were two rounds of discussions with the IBA on these issues. Yesterday i.e., on 17.03.2015, one more round of discussions took place, during which understandings have been reached on the following issues...

Our organisation since its inception has been making efforts & negotiating with Bank management for securing benefits for retirees and solving their problems. 
In UCO Bank a Group Health Insurance Policy for retirees with spouse is in operation for an insure sum of 2 lacs at an annual premium of Rs.1890/- which you are aware of.

2nd and 4th Saturday's will be holidays and other Saturday's will be full working days. Strike deffered.

An emergent meeting of the Central Committee of AIBEA was held at Mumbai on 10th January, 2015 to take stock of the developments relating to the on-going negotiations for 10th Bipartite Settlement. A detailed reporting was made about the developments in the negotiations since our CC/GC meeting held at Kolkata in August, 2014.

 Units and members are aware that in the backdrop of the strike call given by UFBU, Chief labour Commissioner, Ministry of Labour, Govt. of India held a conciliation meeting at Delhi on 5-1-2015 and this followed by two days bipartite negotiations between IBA and UFBU at Mumbai on 6-1-2015 and 7-1-2015. Since IBA came forward to improve their offer from 11% to 12.5% towards increase in cost of payslip components, the strike has been deferred. Further negotiations would continue. We congratulate all our units and members for their preparations to implement the strike programme which resulted in IBA reconsidering their stand and improving their offer from the earlier Rs. 3465 crores to Rs. 3938 crores.

UFBU met today in Mumbai decided to observe 1 day strike on 7th January 2014, 4 days strike from 21st to 24th January followed by indefinite strike from 16th March onwards.

To make the strike on 3rd December a grand success alike the total strike on 12 Nov 2014
