All our units and members will be aware that 20th April, 2018 marks the completion of 72 years of glorious existence of AIBEA and will be the 73rd Founding Day of our beloved organisation. As in every year, this year also we need to celebrate and observe the Founding Day befittingly.

 UFBU DECIDES ALL INDIA STRIKE ON 15TH MARCH 2018

 IBA INVITES UFBU FOR NEGOTIATIONS ON 21ST FEBRUARY 2018

For the sake of information and knowledge of new generation of UCO Bank Comrades, we give below the saga of a great leader of UCO Bank Employees Union(NZ) Com Harish Babuta was President of UCBEU till 22nd June, 1988 when he gave his life while he was taking care of his comrades’ problems by holding meetings at B/o Khanna, 

The 11th Conference of our union has been fixed for 9th July 2017 at Ambala Cantt and the following business shall be transacted :

- To adopt General Secretary’s report and audited statement of accounts of the union.
- To consider any resolution whereof notice had been served on the Executive Committee or any other matter recommended for consideration by the Executive Committee.

Another round of Bipartite meeting was held between IBA and our UFBU constituent unions yesterday In Mumbai. IBA was represented by Shri R.K. Takkar (MD/CEO, UCO Bank), Chairman of the Negotiating Committee along with Smt.

As per the Decision of Central Committee it has been decided to hold XIth Conference at Ludhiana but conference postponed due to unavoidable circumstances.   Now in the meeting  of extended Central Committee held on 23^rd April,2017 at Chandigarh a committee of four Top Office Bearers  constituted to decide the venue of conference and  it is to resolute by the committee that  conference of UCO Bank Employees Union(NZ) will be held at Ambala Cantt at the venue given below.

Members may recall that as a result of our agitation that culminated into   a massive DHARNA before HEAD OFFICE , on 3 rd March, the Management initiated certain effective steps in response to our various demands . Certain matters like Compassionate appointments, Voluntary retirement requests , payment of over time for  de-monetisation period, release of mile stone awards pending since 2014, etc were already considered and benefits reached  all concerned.

We are overwhelmed to witness tremendous amount of enthusiasm and spirit among our ranks as also among the onlookers ( those who are not our members) generated through our agitational programmes. There have been anxious queries as to WHO WOULD BELL THE CAT with the situation both concerning the Bank and the work force drifting day by day.
