UFBU Salutes you all
5th August Strike - a roaring success
Keep up this unity and militancy
Get ready for further Strikes

Thanks, Greetings, Congratulations, Salutations, Compliments and all kudos to you, dear comrades and colleagues. You have made it again and made today’s strike an impressive success. All glory to you, your unity and your militancy. On behalf of UFBU and all our constituent Unions, we convey our sincere thanks to all of you for your wholesome response to the strike.

From metropolitan cities, from major towns and even from far flung places in deep north and north east, reports are pouring in about the success of the strike and massive turn out in the demonstrations and rallies. There is a large-scale coverage in the press media about the impact of our strike.

Even though two rounds of conciliation meetings were held by the Chief Labour Commissioner, and a high-level meeting by the Secretary, Department of Financial Services along with the IBA Chairman was held with the UFBU, no concrete solutions could be offered by them to resolve the issues except assurances that the issues can be settled in due course by discussion. Hence the strike became unavoidable and inevitable.

Comrades, our Strike has received unprecedented support from all the Central Trade Unions and other fraternal unions in various sectors like Insurance Sector, Central and State Government employees, etc.. Many members of Parliament have extended their support to us. Our issues were raised in the Parliament today by Com. Gurudas Dasgupta, AITUC, Com. Tapan Sen, CITU and other leaders. These have given us a moral boost.

Our issues are justified. Our demands are reasonable. Our concerns are genuine. We shall continue and intensity our struggle.

UFBU is meeting at Bangalore on 10th August, 2011 to chalk out further course of action.

MARCH ON TO AGITATION - MARCH ON TO STRUGGLE

MARCH ON TO STRIKE ACTION - MARCH ON TO SUCCESS.
