Today strike in banking sector on 6th and 7th August 2009 was a grand success. Thousands of the employees in northern region participated in the srike overwhelmly. Employees were demanding imediate settlement of waige revision, second option of pension and compassioniate appointments

UFBU met IBA Chairman today in a deputation and protested going back on offer. We demanded immediate resumption of talks and expedited settlement. IBA informed us that Govt. has interfered. UFBU gives call for strike on 6th and 7th Aug.
