Govt/DFS/IBA move to enforce divisive PLI Model Unacceptable while dispute is sub judice
All our unions and members aware that a PLI scheme was finalised in the 11th BPS/8th Joint Note in 2020 applicable from Part time employe4s to General Managers in Scale VII. Since then, PLI is being paid to employees and officers at a uniform rate in each Bank according to the performance of that Bank.

Who has given the call for Strike on 12th February, 2026?
Central Trade Unions have given the call for All India General Strike on the 12th February, 2026. AIBEA has welcomed this call and has given the call for all our members to join this strike.
Is it true that only some central trade unions have given this call?
No. There are 11 Central Trade Unions in our country. Out of these 11 CTUs, 10 Central Trade Unions belonging to all political hues and views have given this call for strike. Only one Central Trade Union, namely, BMS – Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh has not given the call.

Congratulations to all our unions and members all over the country for the massive success of the strike at the call of UFBU to protest against the undue delay in approving the recommendations of the IBA on introduction of 5 Days Banking per week as agreed in the MOU dated 7-12-2023 and Settlement dated 8-3-2024 and demanding expeditious introduction of 5 days banking.

Further to our earlier communications and discussions on various occasions, we once again wish to impress upon you the need for convening the IR Policy Committee meeting, the last of which was held on 4th September, 2024.
In the earlier meeting it was agreed to resume the discussion on the undermentioned leftover issues on which we had substantial rounds of discussions but did not arrive at conclusion. At that time, it was mutually decided on priority to initiate discussions on review of Promotion Policy which was felt necessary for the administration. Review of Promotion Policy was completed on 5th November, 2024. Hence the other issues were kept in abeyance with an assurance to take up at the earliest opportunity.

Implement 5 day Banking - UBU

For the last three days there were hectic rounds of GR meetings at Jalandhar zonal office on 24.11.2025 for the state of Jammu & Kashmir, at Karnal Zonal Office on 25.11.2025 for Haryana state and lastly on 26.11.2025 at Chandigarh Nodal Zonal Office for the entire state of Punjab covering three zones of Chandigarh, Jalandhar and Ludhiana.
We are pleased to report to you that all the three State level GR meetings were totally successful and have gone a long way in creating an organisational impact in these three zones. It was worthwhile to note that In all the GR meetings the list of issues were very less ,which manifests the strength and commitment of our North Zone team under the leadership of Com R K Bhagat, President and Com H S Veer, General Secretary in dealing employees issues on day to day basis and ability to get those redressed.

We sincerely appreciate our bank's initiative as in March, 2023, conveyance allowance was introduced, which provides ₹600 for clerical staff and ₹300 for substaff on a declaration basis. This was a step welcomed by all members of award staff.

After the abolition of BSRBs, IBPS is nowadays entrusted with the job of conducting the examinations for recruitment of clerical staff in the Banks and to supply required number of candidates to the Banks as per the Indents made by the Banks with IBPS. While founding the IBPS, it was claimed that this new institution will improve upon the system and process for recruitment of staff. It is also being claimed that IBPS is handling lakhs of candidates every year under the various processes undertaken by them.

Time and again we have been inviting your attention about the stress and strain being undergone by the Senior Customer Service Associates (Cash) and those CSAs who are required to hold charge of Cash Management in branches. We are informed by members that under instructions from the Government, a training programme is being foisted on all the employees of the Banks on a compulsory basis. Government of India have come out with a new initiative - Rashtriya Karmayogi - a training programme for serving the karmayogi way.
As part of Karmayogi initiative, Capacity Building Commission (CBC) are directing all government offices, PSUs, PSBs and insurance companies to conduct training programme for all personnel, especially in workmen cadre (karmacharis), a behavioural training programme.
