In the discussions held between Management and All India Uco Bank Officers'  Federation on 19th and 20th November and All India Uco Bank Employees' Federation on 21st and 22nd November, satisfactory conclusions could be arrived at on several issues focussed in the Struggle. Decision is awaited in respect of few issues, the details of which are communicated to the units by respective Federations.

Meetings with the Management & Outcome thereof

We reproduce hereunder the contents of Joint Action Committee Circular dated 22/11/2013 issued by Com.C.M.Patel, General Secretary, AIUCBEF and Com.S.Roy Choudhury, General Secretary ,AIUCBOF, on the above subject for information of our Members.

“As advised through our communication dt. 31/10/2013, meetings were held between the management and our Federations, in continuation of the discussions held on 30th and 31st October 2013.

In the discussions held between Management and All India Uco Bank Officers'  Federation on 19th and 20th November and All India Uco Bank Employees' Federation on 21st and 22nd November, satisfactory conclusions could be arrived at on several issues focussed in the Struggle. Decision is awaited in respect of few issues, the details of which are communicated to the units by respective Federations..

In the above back ground, Joint Action Committee met in the evening of 21st November and reviewed the situation keeping in view, the outcome of the discussions with the Management.

Joint Action Committee after threadbare discussions noted that- -

-Discussions with management and conclusions / understandings arrived at in the meeting with respective Federations are to our satisfaction, yet implementation of some among them are subjected to approval of the competent authority,

-Struggle had its desired impact on the Management to have recognized the spirit and value of
bilateralism,

-Struggle had compelled the Management to restore respect to the concept of bilateralism,

- conciliation meeting called by the Regional Labour Commissioner, Kolkatta on 25th November,

- experience in the recent past on lack of will to translate the understandings into reality,

- at the time when both the Federations are in the midst of Joint Agitation and apex level I R & M R Meetings were taking place between both the Federations and Bank to diffuse the IR crisis, certain violations of bilateral understandings came to the notice of Federations, which were brought to the notice of Management time and again during the course of discussions.

And decided as under.

"Placing renewed faith in commitment and positive approach of the HRM department , Strike to be observed in Kolkata, Chandigarh, Lucknow and Bihar circles that has been earlier rescheduled for 27th November be deferred further to 20th December, in case implementation of understandings arrived at in the above said meetings with our Federations is confronted with any UNCERTAINTY".

Joint Action Committee while once again congratulating the rank and file for compelling the
management to repose faith and value the bilateral concept, calls upon the rank and file, not to be
complacent and to remain committed to realise the goal through any kind of Organisational means
mindless of the cost and consequences.

Comrades of Kolkatta, Chandigarh, Lucknow, & Patna, attached to the affiliates of our Federations keep the spirit in tact. Stay with all preparedness and zeal to plunge into action if called for. Comrades of Guwahati, Bhubaneswar, Delhi keep in readiness for follow up actions. In sum and substance we call upon all our rank and file to display and demonstrate their determination to secure justice and justice in time.”

State Level Joint Action Committees shall meet immediately and reach out to our ranks and explain the outcome of the discussions with the management.”
