As advised earlier Staff welfare Committee meeting was held on 5th June 2018. The meeting was chaired by Shri. Charan Singh, Executive director and the  GM,HRM, DGM PSD  were present. As earlier informed that notwithstanding the loss incurred by the bank, an amount of 10 crore was allocated in the balance sheet for the purpose of  staff welfare measures.

In the discussions, keeping in view the above available amount and the expenditures incurred on each of the scheme in the last Financial year it has been  decided as under.

1.     Canteen Subsidy @  225 per month to continue.

2.     Health checkup scheme for spouse to be improved from 1500 to  2000

3.     Diamond Jubilee scholarship - an increase of  500.

4.     An amount of   1 crore has been earmarked for Retirees  to provide subsidy for Health insurance

5.     Last rite expenses (funeral expenses) increased from 5000 to  10,000 under retirees welfare measures.

All other existing measures will continue.

Meeting with GM HRM: In  the informal discussions held with GM HRM we were informed that  the amendment to PPA for incorporating the  Army Graduation Certificate was being thought of  and hence the same may not be made applicable in the current process of promotions. It was explained that clause 4.6 of PPA clearly lays down that the " sub-staff members who have obtained  a valid degree in any discipline from a recognized University shall be considered for promotion to the clerical cadre with out any test or interview, subject to he/she has acquired the qualification after recruitment in Bank's service., due to which litigation may come. And without sorting out this issue amending the clause in Clerical to JM Scale -1 may also be faced with complaints of discrimination. He desired to discuss in the policy committee and then arrive at an understanding. Federation would continue its efforts for early resolution of the issue.

UFUBU meeting: In a meeting held on the same day the draft letter to be addressed to MD on the health of our Bank was finalised. The letter (copy enclosed) has since been submitted to the MD & CEO on  6th June. It was further decided to circulate the letter among all the work force to create awareness among them about the crises that the Bank is faced with vis-a-vis the Management’s approach and prepare them to take on the situation to put the Bank in the path of progress.

Our units are requested to circulate the copy of the letter addressed to MD and CEO (copy enclosed) by UFUBU without fail. Then the State Conveners have to hand over the copy of the letter to MD & CEO to Zonal Head along with other constituents.

Next, UFUBU will meet the state level Conveners at Nagpur on 8th July. All our units are requested to ensure that state level meeting of UFUBU is held before the Nagpur meeting. Our functionaries who are the Conveners at the state level are requested to make their travel plans to Nagpur and ensure participation in the meeting. They may inform com. Ravi Joshi about their arrival and departure to enable our Nagpur unit to make necessary arrangements. After the meeting of Conveners there will be a meeting of the members in the evening on 8th which will be addressed by the Apex level leaders of UFUBU.
