2nd August 2019 - 11th Death Anniversary of COM KRISHAN LAL,
OUR MENTOR, OUR GUIDE ‘OUR LEADER -
LEST WE FORGET THE IDEOLOGY/LEGACY LEFT BY HIM.

2ND Day of August. Each year steers our memories to 2nd August 2008, when Com. Krishan Lal breathed his last after a prolonged illness. Com Krishan Lal, our mentor, guide, a personality that was an inspirer for every comrade till his last breath, cared for the bank employees in general and UCO Bank Comrades in particular. His joys and sorrows moved with the joys and sorrows of his fellow comrades.

Such type of persons are very rare. Thanks to the legacy left by Com. Krishan Lal, your leadership has secured numerous achievements for you and the benefits/facilities being enjoyed by us today are the fruit of continuous toil by Com. Krishan Lal and his team.

While keeping in view the Welfare of his fellow comrades in his mind, he thought of forming a Cooperative Society of UCO Bank Employees and The UCO Bank Employees Co-Operative Urban Salary Earners Thrift and Credit Society Ltd formed by him is functioning successfully and now a days it is providing loans to the tune of Rs.260000/- lac for clerks/Officers and Rs.170000/- for sub staff members. A group insuarance welfare Scheme funded with the society funds was also introduced.

We feel proud to inherit an ideology of true trade unionism from Com Krishan Lal. His 11th death anniversary falls on 2nd of August 2019 (Friday) .

All the Office Bearers and CC Members of our union and comrades from all the units of our CHANDIGARH , JALANDHAR and HARYANA Zone are requested to hold condolence meetings in their branches and to pay the homage to our beloved leader on 2nd August, 2019 .
