We are pleased to inform you  that Com. Ram Avtar Sharma, whose name was recommended for  the post of workman director  has been notified.

Comrades, since the retirement of Com. K Vijhayan from Board on 31.12.2007, Govt was delaying the announcement under the plea of New Scheme.  The process of verification also was cause of delay.  Thus the Board remained without workmen nominee for more than two years.  The uncertainity came to end on 16th February, 2010 when Govt has to notify the name of Com. Ram Avtar Sharma, as recommended by  our All India Federation.

Comrades, Com. Ram Avtar Sharma is one of our veteran leaders and is  representing Rajasthan Unit as General Secretary, besides that he is Dy. General Secretary of our All India Federation and he is also a leader of Rajasthan Bank Employees Union.  He is the CC member of AIBEA as well.   Comrades, we assure you all that interest of workmen shall be well protected in the hands of Com. Sharma.  We are  confident that he will strive for the legitimate rights of UCO Bank Comrades while attending the  Board meetings. After his Joining the Bank’s Board, he has attended  the Board Meeting on 19th and 20th February at Bangalore.  Com. K Vijhayan General Secretary AIUCBEF alongwith leadership of Karnatka and Andhra was present at Bangalore to greet Com. Ram Avtar Sharma.  Karnatka Unit arranged a special meeting of its members to felicitate Com. Ram Avtar Sharma on this unique occasion.
We shall be inviting Com. Ram Avtar Sharma  alongwith  Com. K Vijhayan, General Secretary to visit our unit to address the UCO Bank Comrades and accept our felicitations.   Since  the newly recruited comrades have joined our organisation and they are quite new to the organizational set up,  it will provide an occasion for them to  acquaint themselves with the organizational developments as well as their All India leaders.  We shall inform the date and venue after consultation with Com. Ram Avtar Sharma and All India Leadership.
